Faith

The time that is given to us, seems to be so short sometimes, but on the other hand, sometimes it seems so long. The one year flies by, while the other year seems to be endless. Sometimes, everything seems to be useless, and other times, the light beams through life. We all know a story of somebody who has had a diffucult time, but we also hear hopeful stories. Sometimes, we only see a small piece of the work God is doing, and sometimes we see an explosion of His love and we feel happiness coming from His works.

The last couple of months, I was surprised over and over by the news I heard from Malawi. I saw wonderful pictures of happy children, who can face a future because of the education and care they receive. We hear about ill children, parents who have suffered a terrible loss, but we also hear about unexpected help of sponsors, making amazing things possible.

All those images touch me. They let me realise what the meaning of our live is. Those images help me to put my current situation into perspective. It shows me how rich I am. It teaches me that we cannot make our own world, but that we may trust that our Lord shall provide. We should be grateful when we are blessed, and full of hope when we go through the valley of the shadow of the death. The Lord shall provide!

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe (Proverbs 18:10).
