My journey at For a Change

22 November 2025

When I joined For A Change Organisation, I did not just step into a new workplace, I walked into a community built on love, patience, and hope. Every corner of this place speaks of its dedication to helping children live fuller and happier lives. As a Medical Rehabilitation Technician, I have found not only a place to practice my skills but also a family that believes in transforming lives one child at a time regardless of their weakness.

Working in rehabilitation has allowed me to witness the incredible strength, resilience as well as the uniqueness of every child.

Every day presents a new challenge, but also a new reason to smile. Whether it is a child improving their balance, mastering a new movement, or simply laughing during a therapy session, these moments remind me why I chose this path and make it even more satisfying.

One of the most unforgettable experiences in my journey so far was watching a child take their first independent steps after several weeks of therapy. I still remember the look of determination on their face and the joy it brought to their parent and myself when they finally managed to walk on their own. It was a moment of pure victory not just for the child, but for everyone who had been part of that journey. That single moment reminded me that rehabilitation is not only about physical progress, but about hope, perseverance, and faith in what is possible.

At For A Change, rehabilitation goes beyond physical recovery it is about rebuilding confidence, encouraging independence, and celebrating every small win along the way. Each session is more than an exercise; it is a journey of trust, patience, and progress. The children I work with continue to teach me that true growth often happens in small, consistent steps filled with courage and determination.

My journey at For A Change Organisation continues to be a daily reminder of why I chose rehabilitation to bring hope where it is needed most. Each child’s progress, no matter how small, strengthens my belief that with consistency, compassion, and faith, change is always possible. I am excited for what lies ahead and for the many more breakthroughs waiting to happen, one child and one step at a time.
