A new school year

3 October 2025

After several weeks of holiday rest, filled with family gatherings, playful afternoons, and quiet moments of reflection, the doors of For a Change campus finally opened again, and the familiar buzz of a new school year returned with energy and excitement. It was a moment whereby children could move around the community day in and day out with their friends. The appearance of them looked with full of sand just because of the local games which could barely bring them to the local bath and sometimes find themselves swimming in the river close to their community. I like these sorts of activities being done by the dozens of kids leading without any time. The day could and ends without any action or home school work to be tackled at home. Such a beautiful moment of life in the village.

A new year has a lot to offer especially for the newly recruited kids experiencing the school environment and their eyes shining with curiosity and just a touch of nervousness, while some clutched tightly to their parents’ hands and others ran ahead to greet friends they had missed, laughter echoing as stories of holiday, visiting grandparents, playing games, reading new torn books spilled out in bursts of enthusiasm; teachers and staff stood at the entrances with welcoming smiles, ready not only to guide but also to listen, to reassure, and to celebrate this moment of fresh beginnings;

The classrooms, freshly arranged during the break, waited with colourful charts, neat rows of sharpened pencils, and activities carefully prepared to spark curiosity and imagination; it felt as if the entire building had been asleep during the holiday and now woke up to a new rhythm of life, one filled with the promise of growth, resilience, and joy; the holiday break had given everyone children, families, and staff alike a chance to recharge, and now, stepping forward together, there was a shared understanding that this year would be about more than lessons or grades, it would be about nurturing creativity, building confidence, fostering kindness, and creating moments that children would remember long after the year was over;

In that single morning of reunion, with every smile exchanged and every hand held, it became clear that the community was ready to journey together into a school year full of possibility, where every child’s potential would be honoured, every achievement celebrated, and every challenge turned into an opportunity for growth. A moment you hear the sound of cries whether hungry or running after each other and ending into bumping each other’s toes, give another energy for the fight and being the mouth piece of these little ones.
