Research
Research is very important, because through research, we can investigate what the people of Kwanjana already have, how we can help them to develop further, and we can assist the people to look for solutions. Through research, we want to find out how we can provide assistance as effectively and sustainably as possible, resulting in a lasting change. We are currently being guided in our research by Nienke Kloppenburg, who has studied Cultural Anthropology and who guides us in this process in a professional manner.
The first part of the research has been completed. This research was about education in Malawi. In addition, a part of our research was conducted by two trainees from Hogeschool Zeeland.
In February and March 2025, Mathilde (researcher) conducted a very nice survey in Kwanjana. In this, she looked at the extent to which we achieved our Theory of Change goals. This is very important for us, because it shows us whether we offer the right help, whether we need to adjust things or whether we should continue as before.
This way, based on sound research, we can continue to fight poverty effectively and beat it step by step.
